IN THE VILLAGE OF LELAND Barthalomew Park (Nedow's Beach) Public beach and park on North Lake Leelanau with boat launch, picnic area and dock. Also has lifeguard at some times during the summer and swimming lessons. On Pearl Street east of Main Street 7 blocks. Christmas Tree Corners Beach Public beach on Lake Michigan at the end of Reynolds Street west of Main Street. Fisher "Fudgie" Beach Public North Lake Leelanau beach on M-22 just south of the village. Hancock Field Township & Leland School shared sports and recreation complex with public tennis and basketball courts, skate park, baseball and softball fields, playground and covered picnic area. Directions (starting from downtown driving NORTH on Main Street): Turn right on River Street and go 5 blocks east to "T" at 5th Street. Turn right on Fifth and take 2 blocks to stop sign at Union. Turn left on Union and go up hill. Hancock is on your right. Leland Harbor Township owned harbor with public boat launch, covered picnic area and playground. Located in Fishtown just west of Main Street. Leland Village Green Conservancy owned park with extensive gardens located on Main Street at the north end of town. Van's Beach ELSEWHERE IN LELAND TOWNSHIP East Leland Park Located on 641 at the northern end of North Lake Leelanau with picnic tables, boat launch, dock and playground. Lake Leelanau Ball Field Baseball diamond located on 641 just east of Lake Leelanau. Lake Leelanau Playground Large playground located next to St. Mary's in village of Lake Leelanau. Schneider's Beach Public beach with picnic area on North Lake Leelanau at the end of Popp Road (off M-204) 1.5 miles west of village of Lake Leelanau. Whaleback Natural Area Conservancy Nature Preserve with hiling trails located off M-22 1.5 miles south of Leland.
