Should I make lodging reservations for the festival?

It is a busy weekend. Lodging reservations would be recommended. You can find our individual establishments at http://www.LelandMi.com.

    Is your event pet friendly?

I was wondering if someone could give me a little rundown on the costs. This will be our first time. I see its $12 for 2 wine tasting tickets. Is that two different vendors, two wines or something different? I just want to make sure we are prepared with money. Thanks

While many of the people might be "pet friendly", this event has up to 4,000 people in a confined space. Accordingly, pets are not allowed.

Is this a family friendly event? If so, how much for the kids and what is there for them?

Sounds like a great time! Is there a good amount of parking for this event in the area? I have been to Fishtown. How far is the event from Leland or Fishtown? Happy to see both peninsula's having wineries there!

There is a reduced price for minors. Soda and water are available for purchase within the event.

As for parking, everyone seems to find a place to park; although some have to walk for a few blocks. I would suggest arriving early and enjoying some of our fine retail stores. That way, you can park closer to the event.

It is located only a "stone's throw" from Fishtown, although we hope you won't throw stones.

$12 covers admission, the etched keepsake festival glass, and two wine tickets. These tickets can be used at any winery within the tent. Some tastes are one ticket, some are two. Additional tickets are available within the tent for $2 each.

What happens in the case of rain or storms? The weather doesn't look too good for the weekend!

Dawn, if it rains, we all get wet... As in the past, some how the weather always ends up being fine. There is a huge tent set up for some protection, but umbrella's and raincoat always come in handy.

We have two large tents; but the weather is rarely as bad as is it is forecast to be.

Just come to Leland's commercial district. You can't miss the crowds.

Went to the wine festival yesterday. Would like an address or phone listing for "Drive thru BBQ". They were great!

"Drive thru BBQ" is located in Northport. The Northport Chamber of Commerce may be able to help you. Their website is http://www.northportomenachamber.org.

We had a great time. Took lots of pictures. Any where I can post some? 2 tents worked very well. So busy that some booths ran out of the delicious food 1/2 way through the vent. That truly indicates the popularity of the event.:-)

We are glad you had a good time. At this time, we don't have a venue for automatic insertion of reader supplied photos. However, if you have any which highlight well the event, you are welcome to send them to info@LelandMi.com for possible use on the website blog, or for marketing. Be sure to include your name so that you could get photo credit if anything was used.

Hi Janice - you buy them at the door!
