Tug Stuff is a one-of-a-kind shop found only in Fishtown, Leland. The little Tug Boat emblem found on our merchandise was designed by local artist, and Main Street Gallery owner Malcolm Chatfield, representing the old-fashioned fishing-tug, characteristic of 1900’s Fishtown. Leland is one of the last areas to use the Great Lakes fishtug today. You could say it’s the unofficial logo of Leland, and a reminder of our heritage. Another image of ours is ‘The Porthole View.’ This circular outlook represents the Tug’s view of Good Harbor Bay, as it leaves Leland on daily fishing trips.
See ya in Fishtown!
